This section provides and introduction over this integration manual.

1.1 Background

Secure Receipt Wallet is the world’s first end-to-end encrypted receipt digitization and zero-knowledge marketing platform. Our novel methods and approach in solving the problems behind paper scripts, paper receipts, paper statements, loyalty management, marketing and integration based on cryptographic methods have been registered in two patents 2019100146 and 2019100775 in Australia with international patent pending.

Using the Secure Receipt Wallet multi-patented platform and its product suite provides two important possibilities:

1. It enables receipt issuers to transfer receipts to receipt recipients while assuring zero knowledge against receipt contents for the data transfer intermediary. In effect, this simulates a traditional one-on-one private hand-over mechanism people enjoy with paper receipts, assuring that an intermediary is not positioned to know about their purchase and sales behaviour and history. Secure Receipt Wallet enables receipt recipients to receive their receipts in an anonymous, private and centralized manner. This means they will not have to provide any details to receipt issuers to receive their smart receipts and that they will receive their receipts from all receipt issuers in a centralized secure receipt wallet that enables them to manage, search, index, categorize and analyse receipt data effectively. Using multiple digital signatures generated by issuers and recipients assures receipt integrity, correctness and tamper resistance without giving away recipient’s anonymity. In effect, this means the intermediary will not be able to know who the buyer in a transaction is, hence helping customer’s privacy and full General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) compliance.

Despite anonymity preservation, the Secure Receipt Wallet platform enables receipt issuers to dice and slice transactions made by the same customers using the concept of “Transaction Markers” that are generated by recipients privately using cryptographic methods out of the receipt issuer’s identifier. This enables receipt issuers with a range of options in analysing the purchasing behaviour of their customers without the identity of their customers ever being disclosed to any parties, including receipt issuers themselves. Through the concept of Anonymous Marketing And Loyalty Management Rules that are broadcasted to customers, the Secure Receipt Wallet mobile apps enable the “mining” of applicable deals and offers to customers whose private purchase history is not shared with any parties, including the intermediary. This is the foundation of Secure Receipt Wallet’s unique zero-knowledge marketing in which the applicability of deals and offers is performed locally against private data in a pull mechanism against publicly-available Anonymous Marketing And Loyalty Management Rules, without private purchase history being ever shared or processed at any server. In effect, Secure Receipt Wallet enables anonymously-individualized marketing that does not involve the sharing or processing of private information with any parties.

This manual describes how the Secure Receipt Wallet platform can be integrated with Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems to facilitate the issuance of smart receipts instead of printing paper receipts.

1.2 Audience

This manual is a technical artefact proposed for ICT, cybersecurity and systems development professionals to gain an understanding on how to use Secure Receipt Wallet’s Software Development Kits (SDKs) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) within their point-of-sale systems to add the capability to generate smart digital receipts to their products.

1.3 Purpose

The purpose of this manual is to help point-of-sale systems developers consume Secure Receipt Wallet’s Software Development Kits (SDKs) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) within their systems with the goal to add the capability to generate smart digital receipts to their products.
